One gloomy afternoon last winter, I visited the Museum of the Bible. The institution occupies an impressive six-story brick building, formerly home of the Terminal Refrigerating & Warehousing Company, just a few blocks north of where I live in Washington, D.C. It’s close enough to walk, so I did, a decision I came to regret when the light mist in the air turned into a steady drizzle.
